What is in this release

New

  • When a task fails, its details (click the task in the task tray) show the frontend, backend and Connect versions under the error, and "Download full logs" saves them in the log file
  • Onboarding several users shows one overall task in the task tray, with a Cancel that stops the whole onboarding. The task lists the users whose onboarding finished with errors or failed
  • Files whose upload was canceled or failed show as "Incomplete" in the Vault, instead of looking complete
  • In System Settings, the inbox settings take a list of inbox URLs, like the SFTP Inbox Endpoint Servers list. With more than one, Create inbox and New access point offer an Inbox URL choice for URL inboxes (the first is preselected), and the access point's link to share uses that URL
  • The hardware setup instructions editor (step 4 of the hardware setup form, and Replace setup instructions) has a "Placeholders and formatting" guide that explains the @username, @password and port placeholders
  • The "Snapshots" Libvirt pool type can be chosen when creating or editing a pool
  • In a VM's file list, such as the Citadel side of File Transfer, Shift+Up/Down arrow selects several files, like in the Vault

Changes

  • Pressing Cancel on a task shows "Canceling after the current step..." until the task stops, and a task that finished before it could be stopped says so instead of "Finished" or "Canceled"
  • Canceling a VM start shuts the new VM down again; canceling a shut down or restart stops waiting and no longer restarts the VM
  • Canceling a service VM Power up or Boot from ISO shuts the VM down again instead of opening its console
  • Canceling a VM image clone removes the clone, also on older backends and when a deep clone finished just before the cancel, and canceling a worker VM start stops the worker again
  • "Add users to projects" lists each membership it added, or found already there, in the task log, including the ones added before a cancel, and shows a failed add to a parent project as a warning. "Manage users" asks to remove members only after the adds finish
  • Closing a form that has unsaved changes with Esc, a click outside it or Cancel asks whether to discard the changes or keep editing
  • Messages with a button, such as "Try anyways" when opening VNC or "Add to team(s)", stay open until you click the button or the new Dismiss button, or until the next message replaces them; before, they closed after 3 seconds. Screen readers announce them right away
  • A user whose account is deactivated while they are logged in is logged out within a minute, and the login page says why. With the matching backend update this happens right away, also for temporary and automatic deactivations
  • On deployments that forbid key caching, users with a key cached before 2.15.14 now see the "security policy forbids local caching" warning and must export and delete their cached keys, as they already do for keys cached since 2.15.14
  • A Login ID Regular Expression that is not a valid regular expression can no longer be saved in System Settings
  • Inbox Settings' "Inbox URL" field is now an "Inbox URLs" list, and the inbox URLs and the maximum inbox token duration are now in Servers > External Servers, below SFTP Inbox Endpoint Servers, where one Save saves both; before, they were a separate Inbox Settings entry under User. Each entry must be an http:// or https:// URL without "?" or "#"; before, any text was saved
  • System Settings > External Servers no longer has a "Survey Deployment Servers" list, which no part of tiCrypt used. Saving External Servers removes survey servers saved earlier, and tiCrypt Connect then stops allowing requests to them
  • The User Helpdesk system setting is removed. The user menu no longer shows helpdesk links or phone numbers, and a helpdesk entry in the deployment file is ignored
  • Management > Running VMs and Libvirt Hosts show the connection column first, ahead of the name; it stays there and cannot be moved
  • Management > Users shows the Teams column right after Contact Email, also in CSV and Excel exports; before, it sat between Deactivation Cause and Deactivation Reason
  • In a user's overlay, the profile and permission editors are read-only without the permissions to change them
  • Apply profile and the Profile tab of a user's overlay grey out the profiles whose role you may not assign, with "You can't assign the ... role"; before, picking one failed with "Failed to update ...". Super-admins can still pick any profile
  • Applying a profile that never allows key escrow asks for confirmation when it would delete users' escrowed keys
  • Management > Sub-admin Managed Objects, and the same tab in a sub-admin's user overlay, are hidden from Admins who may not list what every sub-admin manages; before, they failed to load or showed a wrong empty list
  • In a user's "Disable until" dialog, the date field sits below the two options instead of inside the "Disable until" option
  • Edit and Delete on project members show only to users who may change those memberships; before, Sub-admins were offered them in projects they do not manage, and the change then failed
  • "Create new subproject", and "Create subproject" in a project's menu, show only to users the server lets create one. A subproject's Managers and Members counts show only to users who can view all project members; before, other users saw wrong counts
  • A project's Security Requirements show the Certifications column only to users who can view all users' certifications; for everyone else it was blank
  • Certifying users for a requirement that must expire always asks for an expiration date; "Never expires" is no longer offered for it
  • A required date custom field on a team or project starts empty and must be filled in
  • A custom number field's maximum can no longer be set below its minimum
  • Extract, in the Vault's archive preview, no longer accepts Shared With Me, Shared By Me, Group Directories or Inboxes as the destination; pick a folder inside them
  • Create inbox and Create new access point: the capacity must be at least 1 byte
  • Dragging only symlinks from a VM onto the Vault shows "Symlinks cannot be transferred to the Vault" instead of offering an empty transfer
  • In the Vault, file actions you don't have permission for are greyed out in the toolbar, the actions menu and the right-click menus, instead of being hidden. Share now needs the permission to share files, and Remove Share the permission to unshare files
  • When users create a drive, the Drive owner field is no longer shown and they are always the owner; admins can still choose an owner from Management
  • In drive sharing, only the drive owner can change a key's access mode; for others the dropdown is disabled
  • Drive edit shows Cache Strategy and IO Strategy read-only, because they can only be set when the drive is created
  • Libvirt pools defined in the configuration file no longer offer Edit or Delete; their panel shows "Defined in: Configuration file"
  • When "Use static address translation" is ticked for a Libvirt host, the NAT address is required before saving
  • Libvirt host edit hides "Use MAC address list" until the server can return and save a host's MAC list; it is still offered when registering a host
  • MAC addresses typed in a VM configuration, or newly added to a Libvirt host's MAC address list, are written in lower case with colons
  • The MAC address of a VM configuration can't be emptied once assigned; the field says so instead of silently keeping the old address
  • In the VMs tab, running VMs are listed in the order they were started, oldest at the top, instead of by name. A VM you start goes to the bottom of the running VMs
  • The VM file explorer's "Attach/mount drives" button is now "Attach Drives", on one line and centred like "Upload Files"
  • Creating a group on a VM refuses names that match a system group in any letter case, such as "Users" or "ADMINISTRATORS", before anything is sent to the VM
  • Edit is no longer offered for a running service VM; shut it down first
  • In VM settings, the lists keep their contents when the VM connection closes instead of all turning into "Failed to refresh" errors
  • A VM configuration whose hardware setup was deleted can only be saved after another hardware setup is selected
  • The VM configuration editor refuses to save an extra drive that is also the home drive, and marks it "Drive is already the home drive"
  • The VM configuration editor no longer offers "Launch a VM from this configuration immediately" while the configuration is starting or running
  • An administrator who is not an owner of a VM configuration must keep at least one owner when editing its owners
  • Creating a constellation worker template selects the hardware setup's operating system and refuses a different one
  • Two devices in the same hardware profile can no longer have the same name
  • The realm of a Nutanix hardware profile is shown read-only in Edit and can no longer be changed
  • In a hardware setup's VM controller settings, Debug log level no longer offers Fatal and Panic, and Idle timeout is set in minutes
  • VM Profiles shows "Edit permissions" and "Add new profile" only to VM managers with the Manage VM access permission while connected, and only the VM owner can tick manager profile permissions there
  • A new ACL template needs at least one permission; Save stays disabled until one is ticked
  • Save on an annotation template stays disabled until every tag has a name; unnamed tags are dropped when you save while leaving the template
  • Export in the Export annotations dialog stays disabled until a folder is chosen

Fixes

  • Confirm dialogs no longer stay stuck when the task they started is canceled, and canceled bulk steps no longer end as successful
  • Double-clicking Cancel on a task no longer opens the task details
  • Canceling a download or upload stops the chunk being sent right away, and the task log no longer lists the canceled files as failed. A transfer whose last file had already finished when you pressed Cancel no longer ends as "Canceled"
  • Canceling a transfer between the Vault and a VM, or an MFT transfer, stops it and shows it as canceled instead of finishing as successful
  • Canceling a Vault/VM transfer just as a file starts no longer logs an error in the browser console or lists that file as failed
  • In Transfer setup, Accept works again after the drive mount or unmount task was canceled or failed, and Transfer setup reports when credentials and drives fail to load
  • A VM start canceled after the request timed out stops the VM once it is running, instead of leaving it running
  • Canceling a VM user task no longer leaves a user unable to connect, a removed co-owner with drive keys, or decrypted drive keys in memory
  • Repairing VM user access no longer leaves a user whose role changed unable to connect to the VM
  • Canceling "Remove user" on a VM no longer reports a false "Failed to remove as owner" error, and still removes their drive keys
  • Canceling an application tunnel closes it without an error, and canceling Download logs saves no file
  • Canceling Application forwarding or SFTP no longer closes a tunnel to the VM that was already open and in use
  • Canceling "Delete access point" no longer leaves an access point half-deleted: Cancel stops it before anything is deleted, and after that the deletion finishes and the task log says so
  • Canceling "Add users to projects" stops adding users to the parent projects. When every add was already sent, it no longer shows "Canceled", and "Manage users" still asks to remove the members
  • Canceling a user's onboarding no longer lets the remaining users be onboarded, and stops before the next project or certification
  • Scheduling an Avicenna transfer stops when fetching participants fails or is canceled, instead of exporting every participant, and a canceled run is no longer recorded
  • Logging in to a deactivated account says that the account is deactivated, with the reason, instead of "Login failed". The "Account deactivated" message also shows the reason with backends that wrap per-user updates
  • When the server refuses a login on the login or lock screen, for example for an account that is not activated, the reason is shown instead of only "Login failed"
  • Log Out on the lock screen no longer also tries to unlock with the typed password or counts a failed attempt
  • The lock screen focuses the password box when it opens and again after a wrong password
  • A key cached before 2.15.14 no longer comes back in a new tab or after a browser restart once it was deleted on the login page, wiped after too many wrong passwords or removed with Delete All Keys
  • Registration: Next works as soon as the Login ID is valid, and an invalid or empty Login ID can no longer be registered
  • Registration no longer silently stops enforcing the Login ID rule because an invalid regular expression was saved
  • Registration keeps the Login ID and names filled in by multi-factor authentication locked after a failed Register
  • When two or more factors are required, multi-factor login and registration open the next provider automatically after the first one
  • Registration, Escrow and Sitekey registration, and Escrow key recovery always use the Password Strength set in System Settings, including "Anything goes"
  • In the desktop app, the login and registration pages show the zoom percentage again after zooming in or out
  • In tiCrypt Connect with the default horizontal toolbar, the zoom level and version label have their spacing back instead of touching the next button
  • On the Escrow page, Recover User Key says when the user has no escrowed key instead of doing nothing
  • Failed requests on the Escrow page show the server's message without a leading "Error:"
  • The Escrow page clears the decrypted key after the Private Key Timeout set in Management
  • The Escrow task list no longer stays on the login page after logging out, or shows twice after logging in again
  • The Escrow app's user menu no longer shows an Exit item in the browser, and in the desktop app the item names the app ("Exit tiCrypt") instead of just "Exit"
  • In the Escrow quick start, double-clicking Share no longer creates duplicate key parts, and Share stays disabled until the key data is reloaded, so the same key parts cannot be shared twice
  • Escrow quick-start sharing reloads the key list after you cancel a share or it fails, so keys already shared show up
  • In the Escrow share dialog, changing the groups clears the selected escrow user when that user is no longer listed, so Share cannot finish having shared nothing
  • A finished key part share no longer clears the Escrow "Restore a user" screen the officer is filling in
  • Escrow registration: Finish registration waits until the escrow key has been generated, instead of locking the form
  • Sitekey: a certificate that cannot be signed stays in the list instead of being retried without end or dropped, and double-clicking "Sign all and download" signs once
  • Sitekey: editing an escrow user's certificate shows the user's name in the title and keeps the display name and other details
  • Importing Sitekey certificates reports a certificate whose request is unreadable instead of silently dropping it
  • Management reopens the view you left after you switch tabs or reload, highlighted in the menu and with its help button; before, System Settings, Slurm Configuration and Slurm Diagnostics reopened on All Users, and Custom Fields came back without its highlight or help button
  • System Settings: Admin Session Downgrade, Login Message and the inbox settings show the value that is in effect
  • Typing a test login ID in System Settings > Login ID Regular Expression no longer marks the setting as changed
  • Licensing servers, External SFTP Servers and Connect to SFTP server accept single-label host names such as sftp01
  • Management > External SFTP Servers: a server stays available through its expiration date instead of disappearing at the start of that day
  • Management > External SFTP Servers > Edit: clearing the expiration date is sent to the server, and the form no longer reports success when the server keeps the date
  • The external SFTP server form and the Vault folder picker show their errors as red alerts instead of blue information notices
  • "Change role" offers every role the admin may assign when they can only promote or only demote users, including their own role
  • "Assign to a Sub-Admin" stays open, ready to retry, when assigning management rights fails
  • The Save buttons of a user's State and Profile tabs can no longer send the same change twice
  • Unsaved state, profile and permission edits in a user's overlay are kept when the user list refreshes
  • Deactivating a user needs a valid reason before Save or Deactivate can be clicked, and the State tab no longer asks to confirm a change after going back to the original state
  • Applying a profile to users (Apply profile, the user overlay and onboarding) also applies its escrow setting, and the user overlay reports a profile as applied only once the update has succeeded
  • A user's overlay no longer stops updating when another admin deletes that user
  • Choosing a file that isn't an image for your profile picture says so, Save stays off until the image is cropped, and a profile picture that fails to upload or delete shows an error
  • Dropping an empty folder on the avatar box says to drop an image file, instead of doing nothing
  • Team and user quotas of 0 for memory or storage show 0 instead of an empty field that reads as "no limit"
  • Name fields accept the typographic apostrophe, as in O’Brien
  • Name fields report "Conflicts with another ..." for a taken name typed with extra spaces, instead of saving a duplicate
  • Creating an API key shows the key even when its details can't be loaded right away, instead of reporting a failure and creating a duplicate on retry
  • Creating an API key with an expiration of today or earlier says the date must be later, instead of showing an empty error
  • Closing the Create API key window no longer logs an error in the browser console
  • When a new team's settings can't be saved, the Create team window closes and says the team was created, instead of reporting a failure that led to a duplicate team
  • Opening a team's quotas no longer adds fake devices such as "[UK:__all__]" to the Device list and Management > Devices
  • Users who cannot view all teams see the members of a team they open from their VM configuration, instead of "This team has no members"
  • Team pickers (New VM configuration, Transfer setup, Create drive) update as soon as you add or remove yourself from a team; before, it took a reload or an hour
  • Announcements to users, teams, projects and ranks can contain colons, question marks, slashes and quotes
  • An optional choice custom field on a team or project can be cleared again by choosing "None"
  • The date in a required date custom field on a team or project is saved
  • Dragging a choice in a custom field's Custom Choices reorders it, also onto another line of choices, and the new order is saved
  • A custom field reorder, add, edit or delete that fails to save no longer shows as done
  • A project's overlay closes once the project is deleted, instead of staying open with Edit and Delete for a project that no longer exists
  • Change project tag goes back to the current project when the admin override is turned off and the picked project is no longer listed; before, the hidden project stayed selected
  • Change project tag tells users without the classify or declassify permission what they cannot do
  • Change project tag lists the sub-projects of the current project, so items can be classified into a sub-project
  • Removing members in Manage users no longer also starts an "Add 0 users" task that rewrites the project settings
  • Manage users of a project keeps Save disabled until a role and an existing-membership choice are picked for added users, and says which is missing
  • A project membership that expires today or has expired can be edited (for example its role) without changing its expiration date
  • Editing a project's tag, PI or custom fields no longer undoes member download and view restrictions changed since the form was opened
  • Adding users to projects with "Existing memberships: Skip" no longer changes the download and view restrictions of users who are already members
  • Adding users to a sub-project no longer changes their role, expiration or restrictions in its parent projects
  • Grant management rights lists every project the admin can see, not only the projects they are a member of
  • Opening the project or team member selection grid no longer logs a form error
  • Realm and project pickers show their "You must select..." message when left empty
  • Forms that change a multiple-choice selector's value for you remove the items that are no longer chosen, instead of keeping them
  • Renewing a certification that had no expiration shows the date field when its requirement now must expire, and a ticked "Never expires" is kept after picking another requirement
  • Onboarding no longer gives users already-expired certifications for requirements without a maximum lifespan, and onboarding profiles accept a certification duration for those requirements
  • Onboarding with a template that has no profile no longer reports "Failed to apply user profile" for each user; a template whose profile was deleted says the profile no longer exists
  • A failed edit of an onboarding template or its entries no longer shows the unsaved values
  • Onboarding VM configurations can be edited after they have been applied; the home drive name no longer "conflicts with another drive"
  • When the Vault's folders fail to load, "Could not load your folders." shows under the tree with a Retry button; before, My Files, Inboxes, Downloads and Trash were just missing. The folder pickers in Create inbox and Extract do the same
  • Vault > Groups shows a group again after you are added back to it, and drops a group you were removed from, without reloading the page
  • In the Vault, a shared or linked folder that was deleted shows the deleted-folder icon
  • In the Vault's grid view, the "a" shortcut opens the actions menu next to the focused file or folder instead of the window's top-left corner
  • Ctrl+A (Cmd+A on a Mac) selects all files in the Vault again; since 2.18.2 it often did nothing
  • Opening a folder in a VM's file list moves the Vault tree highlight to that folder
  • Extracting a .tia archive no longer fails on a virtual folder or loses the extracted files in the Inboxes folder
  • File sharing: an unshared file says "not shared with anybody" again, switching expiration off no longer opens the calendar, and the hidden date field can no longer be reached with Tab or a click
  • Notifications about several shared files no longer say "Owned by undefined"
  • Transferring files from a VM into a Vault folder that was not opened yet no longer reuses the name of an item already in that folder
  • Dropping a large folder onto the Vault no longer runs the action of another drag started while the folder is read, and the upload is no longer lost
  • Pressing Ctrl (or Cmd on a Mac) while dragging Vault files copies them instead of moving them; before, only keys held when the drag started counted
  • Dragging over files in the Vault and VM explorers no longer re-runs every drop check many times a second, which could make dragging lag
  • Files dragged from the computer and dropped quickly onto the Vault are uploaded instead of being ignored with "Drag ignored: too fast"
  • After a canceled drag of files from the computer, dragging text or a link onto a Vault folder no longer offers an upload or starts an empty one
  • Dragging files over the Vault before a folder has opened no longer causes errors
  • After dragging items onto a Vault folder, the "Moved ... to" message shows the folder name without a hidden code at the end
  • Dragging files between the Vault and a VM you have no transfer permission for shows the permission error before the drop, instead of offering a transfer that then fails
  • Symlinks in a VM's file explorer can be moved to another folder by dragging them; before, they were silently left behind
  • In a VM's file explorer, canceling a drag no longer clears the selected items
  • Dropping a folder, an unreadable file or a JSON file that is not an object on a key or drive-manifest drop zone shows an error instead of hanging or doing nothing
  • On the inbox upload page, a file from a dropped folder that is uploaded again after a failure goes into its folder from the first upload; before, it failed with "Could not find parent, skipping" and could not be tried again
  • Files dropped on the inbox upload page before the password is entered, or on an error or expired page, are ignored instead of being uploaded twice or lost later
  • Create inbox and Create new access point: today can be picked as the expiration date
  • Create inbox and Create new access point: switching from SFTP back to URL no longer also creates an SFTP portal, and a password entered under URL no longer blocks or protects an SFTP access point
  • In drive sharing, a user whose access you removed can be picked in "Share with a user" again right away, and filtering by access mode with no match shows "No results found"
  • Drive sharing again says that a drive that was never attached to a VM must be attached once before it can be shared, and tells read-only key holders why they cannot share
  • The debug "Access drive key" dialog says when you have no key for the drive, or when the key cannot be loaded, instead of showing an empty password
  • Attaching a drive that is deleted during the wait says the drive is not recognized instead of showing a technical error
  • Drive create: the "No space available" alert clears once the capacity fits again, so Create is no longer stuck disabled
  • Drive create checks the capacity against the Libvirt pool you choose, even if you choose it after typing the capacity, and a capacity too big for the default pool no longer hides the pool list
  • Drive create keeps the chosen Libvirt pool and backup choice after a failed create
  • Drive edit: saving only a new name no longer also rewrites the drive's settings, and an NTFS drive's name stays locked after a failed save
  • Drive edit: moving a drive to another team checks that team's quota in the drive's pool
  • Drive migrate offers only storage pools from the drive's own realm, and the drive's current pool is preselected and cannot be chosen as the target
  • Drives > Create external drive: the project chosen in the upload configuration reaches the drive import tool, so the imported drive is tagged with it
  • NFS drive paths, Libvirt pool locations and backup domain directories accept dots, spaces and a trailing slash, such as /mnt/data.v2 or /var/lib/libvirt/images/
  • Management > Drive pool transfers no longer shows "NaN" as the rate of a transfer that has just started
  • Libvirt pools of type "Hardware Setups" can be created, and existing Hardware Setups and Snapshots pools show their type when edited
  • A Libvirt pool can be created with a name that is already used in another realm
  • An invalid NAT address or port no longer keeps Save disabled after "Use static address translation" is unticked for a Libvirt host
  • Importing a MAC address list from a file that is not valid JSON shows an error in the Libvirt host form
  • Connecting to, starting or stopping a VM no longer reshuffles the VMs tab list and table, and VMs with the same name keep their order
  • Right-clicking a stopped VM in the Virtual Machines tab shows its actions again instead of the browser menu
  • In the VMs list view, the user who started a running VM sees the Owner chip on it again
  • A VM started by another VM, such as a worker, shows the owning VM's user and name in the Owner(s) column and chart instead of "[unknown-user:...]"
  • Export JSON for several VMs lists every VM, even when some share a name (their ID is added to tell them apart)
  • Exporting VM details as JSON shows an error when the VM cannot be connected, instead of loading forever
  • Starting several VM configurations at once reports each one that fails to start
  • Disconnecting from a VM whose home drive is still being attached no longer reconnects it within a few seconds
  • A Slurm VM you disconnect from no longer reconnects by itself after you have opened its VM overlay
  • VM log lines no longer show twice when the Logs panel is closed, or you switch to another VM, while the newest logs are loading
  • Downloaded service logs are named with the past dates they cover, not dates in the future
  • When a VM manager edits a user's permissions, Upload Files and Download Files stay greyed out after re-ticking Files if the manager cannot grant them
  • In the VM permission forms, clicking the "N selected" text next to Select all no longer toggles every permission; only the button does
  • The Role column in a VM group's member list shows Owner, Co-owner, Manager or User again instead of staying empty
  • In the VM directory picker, a failed or canceled "Add a new directory" keeps the folder you had picked
  • Deleting a VM folder that holds an access directory names the access directory, or gives the real number, instead of "contain(s) 0 access directories"
  • Saving a VM access directory without changes shows only "No changes made" and keeps the editor open; before, it also said "Updated access directory" and closed
  • Buttons inside a form no longer submit it: Change in the transfer window's directory picker no longer starts the transfer, and removing an entry from a list of picked teams, users, groups or projects no longer saves the form
  • Removing the project tag from VM configurations shows "Remove the project tag from ..." in the task bar instead of an unknown project
  • The "Hardware setup no longer exists" notice in the VM configuration editor goes away once a setup that was still loading arrives
  • VM configurations can no longer be saved with the same drive attached twice, which made them fail to launch
  • Editing a launched VM configuration no longer changes its MAC address, which made it fail to start on hosts with a MAC address list
  • Editing a VM configuration's co-owners, or recording attached drives in it, no longer reverts changes other owners made in the meantime
  • Removing the project from a VM configuration is saved, instead of leaving it tagged with the old project and unable to start
  • Moving a VM configuration to a hardware setup in another realm resets its preferred host to "Any host", so it can still launch
  • Drive and hardware setup pickers keep showing the selected item when their list no longer offers it, instead of hiding a value that is still saved
  • Saving a launched VM configuration without edits says "No changes made" instead of overwriting it
  • Saving a VM configuration with "Launch a VM" checked reports a start that fails instead of saying the VM is starting
  • The VM configuration owners form warns that drives are shared with new owners even when the configuration is stopped
  • Constellation workers no longer get the wrong init script because their template's OS did not match the hardware setup
  • Changing the GPU or other device counts of a service VM is saved, and Cancel leaves them unchanged
  • Editing a hardware setup no longer deletes its startup script, controller version or VM controller settings
  • VM controller settings for log levels, idle timeout and VNC/Xpra ports no longer stop the VM controller from starting
  • Changing the image of a hardware setup also updates its disk bus type, clock and operating system
  • Hardware setups for Windows no longer keep a hidden RAM disk that made VMs fail to start
  • Hardware setups check the RAM disk size whenever the memory changes, and Edit no longer overwrites what you type while it loads
  • Nutanix hardware setups with operating system "Unknown/Other" are no longer saved with OS "DISK_IMAGE"
  • Hardware setup instructions say why they can't be saved, may be up to 20,000 characters long, and their editor is disabled together with the form
  • A hardware setup's Extra XML can contain several elements side by side
  • Typing "-" or "e" into an empty number field of a hardware setup's Edit settings no longer logs an error
  • The delete confirmation for a hardware setup says "... and N more" when a VM configuration has more than 2 owners
  • A hardware profile device can have the same name as a hardware profile
  • VM images whose operating system is Unknown/Other, or of another type such as a disk image, can be created and edited
  • VM profiles on constellation VMs show and keep Manage VPN and VM Orchestrator, and editing a profile only updates users whose permissions exactly match it
  • Editing a VM profile and saving without changes no longer leaves the form and Cancel disabled
  • VM profile Add and Edit no longer stay blocked after a duplicate profile name is corrected, and the error says whether the name or the permissions clash
  • Adding or editing a VM profile shows an error when the save fails, and the forms refuse names that only differ by spaces from an existing profile
  • VM Profiles "Edit permissions" saves profiles that swap permissions and reports any profile it could not save
  • In VM Profiles "Edit permissions", Cancel after unticking Files restores Download and Upload, and re-ticking Files gives them back, so they are no longer removed on the next Save
  • Saving VM profile permissions without a VM connection shows an error instead of failing silently
  • ACL templates given to users on an access directory, not only to groups, count everywhere: replacing the template updates those access directories, deleting it is refused with the access directory named, and "Usage info" lists them
  • Clicking Save twice in the ACL template form no longer sends the template twice
  • Clearing the description of an ACL template removes it instead of keeping the old text
  • A failed ACL template update no longer shows the new name and description as if it had been saved
  • Editing an annotation template no longer shows the new name or settings when the save fails, and the failure is reported
  • Canceling an annotation template edit no longer asks to save the discarded changes when you leave the template
  • Exporting an annotation template without an export folder starts in your home folder instead of failing
  • Typing 00:00:00 as the Start of a new video annotation sets the start, so the annotation can be added
  • Changing only the Type of a saved video annotation asks to save it before you move to another annotation or close the video
  • Avicenna transfers accept API keys that contain characters such as / + = : { } " or
  • The Avicenna "Run transfer" dialog shows "End date must be on or after start date" instead of silently disabling Run Transfer, and device exports include the chosen end day
  • Creating or editing an Avicenna transfer says so only after the VM has saved it, and shows an error when the save fails
  • An Avicenna transfer whose export cannot be started fails right away with the reason, instead of waiting 15 minutes and reporting a timeout
  • Management > Slurm Configuration and Slurm Diagnostics show their output when it is JSON, and the error when they cannot be loaded, instead of an empty panel or a spinner that never stops
  • Clearing the description of a Slurm partition removes it, instead of keeping the old description after "Partition configuration updated"
  • Error messages for avatar uploads, VM settings lists, delete impact, SFTP inbox login, VM shutdown and VM JSON export show the actual reason instead of "[object Object]" or program text
  • In the delete confirmation that lists what else is affected, Retry after an error loads the impact report again instead of doing nothing
  • Pressing Cmd+P while the documentation search is open no longer leaves a search box stuck over the page
  • The start-up script of a hardware setup is highlighted as shell or PowerShell again
  • When the security policy forbids caching keys, the list of keys to export on the login page shows each key's email again instead of a long key ID
  • Transferring several Vault files or folders with the same name to a VM (for example from Trash or "Shared with me") no longer fails for all but one of them with "File already exists at destination": the others are saved as "name (1)", "name (2)" and so on
  • A Vault <-> VM transfer that could not read one of the selected folders no longer finishes as a success with that folder empty at the destination: the task now ends with an error naming the folder
  • The tiCrypt and inbox release packages now include the licence notices of the third-party libraries and fonts they contain
