View History

Is the File History Paper Trail Based on the User's Public-Private Key Pair or the File's SHA Key?​

The file history is not cryptographic nor based on any keys at all. It is located in the audit log and provides a convenient way for the user to view past information.

You can erase the file history data, but the audit log can never be erased.

Can all users view my system file history?​

You can only view the complete history of any file you own.

The viewing includes:

  • When the file was accessed.
  • Who was the file shared with.
  • Who was the file unshared with.

All above with detailed time stamps.

  • When a user shares a file with you via Share option; you can automatically view the complete history of that file.
  • Viewing the history of files may be altered by an admin in the following user menu permissions:
  • Basic Vault Interaction
  • View access/sharing/project history of own files
