Inboxes

What are tiCrypt Inboxes?

Inboxes allow you to collect data from individuals and organizations outside the tiCrypt infrastructure. You must have permissions from your admin to create an inbox. When an inbox is created, a URL is generated and can be shared with external individuals to upload files directly into a user's Vault.

Inboxes may have multiple unique access points with different parameters for particular outside users. Just as you drag-and-drop files from your local machine to your Vault, external individuals or organizations can drag-and-drop files into your inbox. Uploaded files from external users are stored in the tiCrypt inboxes.

Uploaders are never granted access to tiCrypt and can only use the inbox webpage to upload files. The left panel on the upload page displays the available inbox space for the uploader. Inboxes do not compromise data; they provide a cryptographically secure entry point.

What are tiCrypt SFTP Inboxes?

An SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) inbox facilitates the transfer of large data sets from individuals and organizations outside the tiCrypt infrastructure. If the SFTP inbox is unavailable, contact your admin to configure the SFTP external server.
